The Catholic Church of the Exaltation of the Cross was built in Františkovy Lázně between the years 1812 and 1819. In architectonic terms, it belongs among the most beautiful Empire ecclesiastical structures in the Czech Republic. Its forefront is decorated by two pairs of monumental columns with a frontispiece that are rather uncommon with church architecture. The church interior is as appealing with its frescoes by painter Kandler and the statues of the church patrons, Saint Helen and Emperor Constantine.
