Slavkovský Les Protected Landscape Area

Františkovy Lázně is situated within reach of the most significant nature locality in the Region of Karlovy Vary, i.e. the Slavkovský Les Protected Landscape Area. The protected landscape area spreading over an area of 610 m2 is the home of many endangered animals and especially flora species. Several other especially protected areas and nature monuments may be found on the territory of Slavkovský les (Slavkov Forest), such as:

• Kladská Peat Bogs National Nature Reserve
• Smraďoch Nature Reserve
• Vlček Nature Reserve
• Úpolínová louka National Nature Monument
• Křížky National Nature Monument
• And others

The entire area is interwoven with a network of well-marked tourist paths. You may also find several nature trails, the most popular of which are the Kladská Nature Trail and the Smraďoch Nature Trail.
