Erected in 1906, the Salingburg Lookout Tower was to compensate the lack of historical monuments in Františkovy Lázně. The Pseudo-Gothic structure was built to resemble the ruins of a medieval castle and its tower served as a lookout point since lookout towers were quite popular at that time. According to legend, the spirit of the local mineral springs known as Salinger allegedly dwells in the quasi castle ruins...
