The stone observation tower originally bearing the name of Otto von Bismarck stands on Háj, the highest point of the Czech part of the Smrčiny Uplands rising to 758 metres above sea level. The observation tower on Háj Hill near Aš is the westernmost lookout tower in the Czech Republic. The tower with the nearby tourist lodge and the surrounding landscaped park zone are a popular destination of tourists. If you want to admire the view from the lookout platform located approximately 25 metres above ground, you will need to climb 122 stairs.
