Municipal Museum in Mariánské Lázně

The museum expositions are located in the oldest house in the historical part of Mariánské Lázně. The house itself is a significant architectonic monument from the early 19th century and the last preserved example of the appearance of the town at the time of its foundation. A permanent display is dedicated to world-famous writer J. W. Goethe who had been a frequent guest at the house. The exhibits include period furniture, items of daily use, Goethe's portraits, his mineralogical or botanical collections, etc.
The permanent exhibition is complemented with the adjoining outdoor display entitled "Geological Park", which covers an area of almost 10 hectares.
