The official opening of the spa season in Františkovy Lázně takes place every year in spring. The traditional all-day celebrations include a parade of majorettes and a wind orchestra through the town, a mass at the Church of the Exaltation of the Cross, a parade in Národní třída (National Avenue), the blessing of the springs, and abundant cultural program.
