Every second year, Cheb hosts the International Festival of Youth Wind Orchestras (FIJO - Festival International des Jeunes Orchestres Instruments á vent). With a long tradition dating to 1970, the festival is highly favoured among visitors, as well as the inhabitants of the region. The highlight of the festival showcasing the best youth wind orchestras is the spectacular parade of the bands through the town complemented with an ever more popular accompanying program, which includes a dashing party on the the Landscape Exhibition grounds, a gala show, or fireworks.
