The museum of the Stiftland (literally meaning "donated land") maps the history and the cultural past of the German town of Waldsassen and its surroundings. The collections comprising of thousands of exhibits are divided into 50 departments dedicated to the history of the local monastery and the town, they also include collections of old hand tools used at the workshops in the Upper Palatinate, mineralogical collections, exhibits mapping the history of mining in the area, as well as everyday life and work in Stiftland and Egerland, i.e. the district of Cheb.
The permanent exposition is complemented with regularly changing exhibitions.
