Spend a pleasant day in the German part of the Smrčiny Uplands and explore the source area of the Ohře River (German: Eger). The spring of the Ohře (German: Egerquelle) is located on Schneeberg Mountain at an elevation of 752 metres above sea level between the towns of Bischofsgrun and Weissenstadt. The spring rises from a circle well formed by 12 stones bearing the names of the towns and cities that have contributed to the popularization of the spring area and funded the building of the nearby stone monument.
