The newly refurbished Egerlandmuseum (Museum of the District of Cheb) in the German town of Marktredwitz presents the history and the culture of the region from its common roots to contemporary history and it also familiarizes with the activities and efforts of EUREGIO EGRENSIS.

The museum collections depict the rural culture of the region with its wide variety of patterns, hand-painted furniture and folk costumes, etc. on one side, and the life in the town of Cheb, which was an important commercial centre, or in the spa towns of Mariánské Lázně and Františkovy Lázně, which considerably influenced the economic situation in the region.
